A third-party cookie is a cookie that gets placed by a website other than the one you're currently on, but from one that runs a script or tag on the site you're currently on. They are very commonly used for online advertising to show personalized and targeted advertisements across websites. As of late 2022, support for third party cookies is being phased out by Google, Apple and Mozilla browsers.
