Standard contractual clauses, or SCCs, are GDPR-compliant clauses that can be used (or added to an agreement between a data controller and data processor) when personal data is to be transferred between a country within the EEA and one without an official adequacy decision. They aim to ensure the protection of the personal data when being transferred internationally to a place that may not have adequate security to meet GDPR standards.
The standard contractual clauses must not be altered from their formal text or they will not be valid.
