Privacy by Design is the process of considering privacy and data protection and implementing it into every stage of a design and creation process, from beginning to end.
It has 7 principles: being proactive versus reactive and preventative versus remedial, having privacy as the default setting, having privacy embedded into design, maintaining full functionality and innovation, having end to end security, being open and transparent about policies and procedures, and respecting user privacy and experience. It is required by the GDPR.
