An EU representative is a GDPR requirement for businesses that are based in the UK, don't have any branch or physical office elsewhere in the EEA or EU, yet still either offer goods and services to, or monitor the behavior of, individuals in these locations.
The EU representative must be located in the EEA in a place where you have contact with, such as a number of clients or customers. The representative will work as a liaison between data subjects and authorities and your business. You must disclose the name and contact details of your EU representative, for example in your Privacy Policy.
